What it does
Filed by batch and date
Inspections, mix records, samples, and nonconformances are searchable. The night-before folder is the thing this replaces.
The schemes concrete plants actually face
CMA product certification, SABS mark assessments, ISO 9001 surveillance, and customer audits. Not every plant faces every one.
An export labelled supporting evidence
The pack carries timestamps, the template revision, exceptions, and attachments. It never says certified by VexRoute.
The revision that was in force
Historical results keep the acceptance rules from that day. A later template edit does not rewrite them.
Schemes we support with records
CMA Certification Services — product certification audits for concrete masonry and paving. Typical frequency: at least annually.
SABS Mark Scheme — quality-system assessments and product testing. Typical frequency: at least twice yearly.
ISO 9001 — quality-management system audits. Typical frequency: annual surveillance, recertification every three years.
SANAS — South African National Accreditation System. Accredits laboratories and certification bodies that factories may work with.
VexRoute helps manufacturers manage inspection records and evidence relevant to the listed standards and certification schemes. VexRoute is not a certification body and does not issue or guarantee certification.
Four audits that matter for concrete plants
- CMA product certificationCMA
Product-scheme audits for certified concrete masonry and paving lines.

Mandatory? No — depends on product certification
- SABS product certificationSABS

- Customer / supplier quality auditCustomer
Batch-specific evidence for claims, tenders and supplier approval reviews.

How often manufacturers are audited
- CMACMA product certification
- At least annually, including product witness testing. Mark / accreditation holders may face twice-yearly compliance audits.
- SABSSABS product certification
- Quality-system assessments at least twice yearly, plus regular product testing under the Mark Scheme.
- ISO 9001ISO 9001 quality-management audit
- Annual surveillance audits, with recertification every three years.
- CustomerCustomer / supplier quality audit
- Set by each customer agreement — often annual or tied to supply events.
A factory could face several of these in the same year. Missing records or incomplete corrective actions can put certification status at risk.
What an auditor actually inspects
- Daily production and quality-control records
- Concrete mix and raw-material records
- Product dimensions and strength-test results
- Equipment calibration certificates
- Rejected batches and corrective-action records
- Employee competency and training records
- Internal audits and management reviews
These categories mirror what product-certification applications already expect — VexRoute organises them by product, batch, date and inspection type.
Why this matters
With VexRoute, those records are already linked — so the plant is audit-ready every day, instead of forcing the quality manager to rebuild everything immediately before an assessment.
Exports are labelled supporting evidence. VexRoute is not a certification body and does not issue SABS, CMA or ISO marks.
What an export includes
- Scope header
- Audit date, scheme or standard reference, site, product and batch filters you chose.
- Records
- Original values, operator identity, approvals and change history — not a rewritten summary.
- Label
- Marked supporting evidence. Never a forged mark, certificate or “certified by VexRoute” badge.
Ask for last quarter by batch.
If the quality manager can retrieve it in under two minutes, the desk is doing its job. On the first call we will ask which schemes you hold — CMA, SABS, ISO 9001, customer, or a mix.
