What it does

The mix record shows what was supposed to go in and what did. Lots link when you capture them.
Inspections on that batch
First-off and in-process checks point at the batch ID, the product, and the machine.
Samples and results
A sample ID stays with the batch it was taken from, including the method revision on the result.
The nonconformance in the same chain
A hold is not a separate filing system. It sits on the batch an assessor will ask for.
Ask for one batch from last month.
If the quality manager can open materials, checks, and any hold in one place, the chain is doing its job.
