What it does
Start-up before the first unit
Machine and area checks are completed, and signed when you require it, before production.
Exceptions during the shift
A failed dimension is visible then, not when someone types the week up on Friday.

Release waits for an authorised sign-off. The desk does not clear a batch because the shift ended.
